That dream and tree of knowledge has now spread its branches all across India. The EBD family in association with The Variety Book Depot has now promoted EBD Book Café Pvt. Ltd.

The fairy-tale never ends. Book Café’s mission is to set up a chain of Book Café outlets all over India, to offer a superior book shopping experience. And we are about to reinvent the way the books are bought and sold in India. It’s a platform and a place where you can regularly get-together with like-minded people and get involved with Book Meets, Book Clubs, Book Launches, Publisher Festivals, Author Signing, Debates and anything our customers want to create. We at Book Café believe that selling books, from within the espresso bars and other such co-locations, will definitely help achieve growth in book sales. Co-location and Co-branding with espresso bars, airports, metro stations, hotels, hospitals and other public places, help fuel our growth strategy.

Our versatile company has set up a Multi Format book retail chain. The Flexi-format structure has a capability to use 300 to 1500 sq. feet space. Finally, E-commerce and the ERP software will enable delivery of books anytime and anywhere. With support from the Team Members, family and friends, not to forget the bookselling fraternity, the company aims to open Book Café outlets in all the suburbs and shopping malls in the country. What began as an experiment in Dehra Dun has now been established in Ludhiana, Jaipur, Kanpur, Indore, Patiala, Chandigarh, Pune, New Delhi, Udaipur, Agra, Gurgaon, Lucknow… The Company aspires to open over 100 outlets in three years...
